Rs 3.88 cr fined for traffic rule violation

IMPHAL, Dec 30: Since the beginning of 2025 till date, Traffic Control Police, Manipur issued 24,050 challans and collected Rs 3,88,09,000 from traffic rule violators.
The number of challans and the amount collected as fines are much higher as compared to the previous year. Only 4980 challans were issued and Rs 55,07,700 were collected as fines last year.
The month-wise figures for challans and amounts collected this year are: February (3029, Rs 48,25,300); March (3251, Rs 56,24,000); April (3156, Rs 48,04,100); May (2536, Rs 36,88,800); June (962, Rs 14,74,200); July (2526, Rs 42,02,500); August (1627, Rs 27,84,500); September (1121, Rs 20,03,600), October (780, Rs 14,18,500), November (1320, Rs 23,34,700) and December (till today) (1039, Rs 16,79,700).
