IBSA get walkover win, NAPSA close campaign with 56-run victory over THAU

IMPHAL, Dec 30 : IBSA, Yumnam Leikai got a walkover win against SSU, Singjamei to secure top-two position in the Group B league stage of the 10th MNCA Plate Tournament as NAPSA, Kha Imphal ended their league campaign with 56-run victory over THAU, Thangmeiband.
Opting to bat first at Moijing Public Ground, NAPSA added 208 runs before losing all wickets in 33.1 overs but the total was more than enough for the team to seal their fourth win as their bowlers cut short THAU innings at 152 within 25.5 overs. Sengtung led the NAPSA scoring as he added 45 off 40 balls followed by T Dhankuber 29 and H Boney 26.
THAU’s Kh Romesh achieved a four wicket haul (4/33) in his spell of 7 overs while P Rohit, Kh Bidyananda, M Pibaren and Ajitkumar picked a wicket apiece.
In reply, Kh Caleb 24, Kh Bidyananda 21, P Hilbert 20, and Th Leevasky 19 emerged the major run contributors as W Naresh (2/20), H Boney (2/37), and Ksh Chingkhei (2/32) combined well to produce an incisive as well as economical bowling attack for NAPSA. H Boney was adjudged player of the match for his allround feat.
Meanwhile, IBSA sealed their sixth win in seven Group B matches without breaking any sweat as SSU did not turn up.
