IMPHAL, Dec 30 : Today’s matches of the 5th MNCA Superplate Tournament saw PTCC, Patsoi Part II and Blue Hawk CC, Khurai securing 101-run victories against their respective rivals.
In a Group A match of the day staged at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College ground, PTCC rode on Mutum Gemson’s half century to post a competitive total of 202/8 before Okram Sadananda picked five (5/46) to dismantle FORCE for 101 runs in 21.4 overs and registered their third win on the trot.
Gemson hit 67 off 76 while M Dominic added 33 and H Hemchandra added 22 to lead PTCC to 202 in the innings that saw Wakip Sheikh (3/39), Md Islauddin (2/42), and Syed Ashif (2/40) sharing 7 wickets for FORCE.
Sadananda and S Kenjit (2/7) then ran riot across the FORCE line up in the chase where Md Islauddin, with 38 runs off 18 balls, emerged the highest run getter.
Sadananda was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, Blue Hawk defeated Al-Ameen, Lilong by 101 runs for their second Group B win in three matches.
Asked to bat first, Blue Hawk gathered 145/7 in 25 overs thanks to leading knocks from Mutum Sudhir 57 off 70 (3 fours and 4 sixes) and Donny 26 off 35 (2 fours) before S Sem (4/14) and A Guniram (3/3) led in demolishing Al-Ameen for 44 runs within 13.2 overs.
Sem who led the Blue Hawk bowling attack was adjudged player of the match.
