Road work in Noney starts

NONEY, Dec 4 : In collaboration with Ganapati Company Pvt Ltd, the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) has commenced maintenance work on the road stretch from NH-37 Longmai Bazar Traffic Point to Longmai Common Ground under Noney DHQ today.
The construction and maintenance work was supervised by Kabamdai Gangmei, PRO of Ganapati Company Pvt Ltd. The initiative is being undertaken as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
Company officials have assured village leaders that proper drainage systems and black-topping of the road up to Longmai Common Ground will be completed before Christmas.
Community-based organizations and village leaders have expressed their gratitude to the company officials for taking up the road maintenance work ahead of the festival season, noting that it will greatly ease travel and improve connectivity for the public.
This inter-district road passes through all major localities of Longmai village and serves as the primary access route to several villages under Noney district.
It is also a crucial link road to various institutions and Government infrastructures, including schools, a college, the newly constructed DC Office Complex, the Divisional Forest Office, Soil Conservation Office, NHIDCL PMU-Noney Office, District Multi-Purpose Building and Churches among others.
