IMPHAL, Dec 4: Nagaland beat Manipur by 32 runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Plate at Deccan Gymkhana Cricket Ground, Pune today.
Nagaland won the toss and opted to bat first.
Riding on Nischal D's impressive knock of 108 runs off 49 balls, Nagaland amassed a massive 220 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs.
In reply, Priyojit K did splendidly and contributed 66 runs (off 32 balls), but Manipur could score only 188 for 10 wickets in 18.1 overs.
Nagaland's Nischal D knocked as many as 13 fours and 5 sixes in his impressive run for 108 off 49 balls.
His team-mate, Joshua also performed well scoring 45 runs off 23 balls including 5 fours and 3 sixes.
R Jonathan C (21 runs off 12 balls), Chetan Bist (16 runs off 15 balls), Hem (15 runs off 13 balls), Nchumbemo (2 runs off 7 balls) and Imliwati (1 run off 1 ball) contributed runs to Nagaland's 220.
Manipur's Bishworjit claimed 2 wickets. Denin, Kishan Singha and Johnson took one wicket each.
Manipur's chase for the target stumbled early with Johnson's fall in the first over without taking any runs.
Only Priyojit K (66 runs off 32 balls) could score past 50.
Jotin Pheiroijam (34 runs off 12 balls), Langlonyamba M (30 runs off 26 balls), Kishan Singha (20 runs off 10 balls), Jotin Lamabam (10 runs off 10 balls), Andyroshan (13 runs off 9 balls), Denin (2 runs off 3 balls) and Sanatomba (1 run off 2 balls) contributed runs.
Bishworjit remained not-out without getting a chance to test the ball.
