Court convicts man in sexual assault case

IMPHAL, Dec 5 : The Fast Track Special Court Number 1 has convicted a 46 year old habitual offender Khaidem Bisembor for sexually assaulting a minor today.
Bisembor @ Suresh Meitei, s/o K Ranjit Meitei of Nongdam Maning Leikai was recently sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment in another sexual assault case.
The case was on against the convict based on a complaint lodged by the mother of the minor victim on October 12, 2019 who stated that the convict had lured her daughter and the child's friend to an under construction house.
There, he made the friend stand watch at the window and sexually assaulted the victim, the complainant said.
The sentence hearing will be held on December 8.
