Barak Festival from Dec 12

IMPHAL, Dec 5: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired a meeting of the organising committee of the 4th State Level Barak Festival 2025 at Lok Bhavan this evening.
Various aspects of the festival including budget, programme schedules, transportation, promotion, and the overall positioning of the Barak Festival as a popular tourist attraction in the State were discussed during the meeting.
Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretaries, Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, Senapati, along with stakeholders from the district, were present and they deliberated on various topics, said a press release issued by the Governor’s Secretariat.
Scheduled from December 12 to 14, 2025, the 4th edition of the State Level Barak Festival, 2025 will be celebrated under the theme ‘Heritage in Harmony’ at Zilipou, Senapati District.
The festival aims to showcase the rich cultural tapestry of the region while strengthening community participation and enhancing its visibility as a key cultural tourism event in Manipur.
