VSAI, FLAK enter Masters’ Football Championship semis

IMPHAL, Dec 6 : VSAI, Thangmeiband and FLAK, Kyamgei sealed convincing quarterfinal victories to secure their semi-final tickets in the ongoing 5th Dr Moirangthem Manaoton Singh and M Chandrasakhi Devi Memorial Masters’ Football Championship 2025.
In the first quarte-rfinal match of the tournament, VSAI edged out FLAM, Yaiskul by 3-1 goals to earn their semi-final ticket.
VSAI enjoyed a 2-1 first half lead today as Kh Rajen (11’) and W Khogen (13’) scored for the Thangmeiband side before Somorendro pulled back a goal for FLAM.
M Ranjit then scored the decisive goal in the 47th minute.
Later in the second quarter-final match of the tournament, FLAK crushed EMVFC, Lamlai 4-0.
Deben (7’) and Sachin Rai (28’) scored to earn FLAK a 2-0 first half lead before RK Bikramjit (52’) and L Ningthouren (60+4’) found a goal apiece in the second half to complete the 4-0 rout.
Sangai FC will play TRVSA, Malom in the third quarter-final match on December 11 from 12.05 pm before LFC, Langthabal take on VFC, Kakwa in the fourth quarter-final match from 1.45 pm.
