IMPHAL, Dec 8: CorCom has condemned and boycotted the proposed visit of Indian President Droupadi Murmu to Manipur (Kangleipak).
The CorCom has also called a total shutdown on the day of the President’s visit.
The proposed visit of Droupadi Murmu to the State to attend the commemoration of Nupi Lan anniversary on December 12 is not intended to bring peace and development in Manipur, the CorCom said in a statement.
It said that the proposed visit is aimed at consolidating the alleged colonial rule in Manipur which has been already devastated by the Government of India’s proxy war and its policy of creating animosity among communities.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Manipur (Kangleipak) on September 13, 2025 to see the results of the Government’s diabolic policies, it alleged further.
As a result of the Government of India’s policy, particularly Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, around 300 innocent people have been killed in Manipur and thousands of people have been rendered homeless.
Asking whether the President of India’s proposed visit is intended to pour oil to the fire, the CorCom said that India never likes a united Manipur.
In order to prevent the emergence of a united Manipur (Kangleipak), India has been sowing seeds of distrust and communal conflicts in the names of ethnicity and religion, it alleged.
Not satisfied with all their efforts to break up Manipur, the Government of India has been conspiring to erase Manipur (Kangleipak) completely.
As a part of their attempts to wipe out Manipur (Kangleipak), Indian armed forces forcibly erased the word “Manipur” painted on a bus at Gwaltabi, the CorCom said.
While conspiring to create a separate administrative unit out of Manipur in the name of ethnicity and religion, the President of India, pretending to be benevolent, is planning to attend the sacred Nupi Lan anniversary, it said.
The CorCom said that the two Nupi Lans fought in 1904 and 1939 by the brave mothers of Manipur against the British were aimed at uprooting colonial rule from Manipur (Kangleipak).
The brave mothers yearning for freedom were victorious in both the Nupi Lans which are very rare in the history of mankind, it said.
The Nupi Lan functions observed in Manipur (Kangleipak) since many years back were in commemoration of the unmatched valour, struggle and sacrifice of those brave mothers. But this year, the President of India will be here to defile Nupi Lan, it alleged.
As such, the people of Manipur must not support the proposed visit of President Droupadi Murmu, it said.
The CorCom then called upon all the people to condemn and boycott the Indian President’s visit enmasse.
The CorCom has also announced a total shutdown from 1 am on the day of the President’s visit till she leaves Manipur (Kangleipak). The total shutdown will not cover medical, essential and emergency services, it added.
