AMWJU, EGM condole demise of scribe

IMPHAL, Dec 8: The All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) and Editors' Guild Manipur (EGM) have condoled the demise of journalist Maibam Ibochou-ba, who left for the heavenly abode today.
Following a tragic fall from a building, he underwent major surgery at Raj Medicity, Imphal. Despite medical care and support, his health condition continued to deteriorate, leaving him bedridden until his demise today due to a stroke., said AMWJU and the EGM in a condolence message.
"AMWJU and EGM extend heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members during this difficult time and pray for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace," said the condolence message.
Maibam Ibochouba was a sincere, hardworking and committed journalist who contributed significantly to the field of media in Manipur.
His dedication to truthful reporting and his service to society will always be remembered with deep respect and admiration," said the media bodies. Members of AMWJU and EGM held a condolence meeting at the Manipur Press Club, Imphal today and observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect.
