MNCA announces team U-19 Women’s One Day Trophy

IMPHAL, Dec 8 : The Manipur Cricket Association has announced the names of the players who will be representing Manipur in the U-19 Women’s One Day Trophy beginning on December 13 at Nagpur.
The players named in the team are Ningthoujam Taniya (Captain), Barkatun Khanam (Vice Captain), Lourembam Prena, Sapam Kebriya, Anoubam Inao, Athokpam Tennish, Moirangthem Creety, Nongjaimayum Sumeiya Shahni (Wicket-Keeper), Konjengbam Nonibala, Ahongsangbam Thoithoi, Konsam Sayatombi, Tongbram Bandana, Hanglem Priyanshee, Thokchom Alice and Hemam Lingjen.
The team, who will leave Imphal tomorrow (December 9), will be led by a support staff comprising Elangbam Raju as manager, Haobam Sunil as coach, Sarangthem Birjit as assistant coach, Maisnam Niketan as trainer and Hijam Anupama as physiotherapist.
Notably, Manipur will open the tournament campaign against Arunachal Pradesh on December 13 at VCA Stadium, Civil Lines, Nagpur.
Manipur will play Meghalaya in the second match on December 15 at Lady Amritbhai Daga College ground, Nagpur before taking on Mizoram on December 17 at the same venue.
Manipur will take on Tripura on December 19 in the fourth match at VCA Stadium again before playing Sikkim in the last league match against Sikkim on December 21 at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Jamtha in Nagpur.
The top two teams (Plate Group) after round robin league will vie for the group title at Lady Amritbhai Daga College ground on December 23.
