152 Bn CRPF organises CAP at Awang Sekmai

IMPHAL, Dec 9 : In continuation of its Civic Action Programme, 152 Battalion CRPF distributed sewing machines to Awang Sekmai Kanba Nupi Lup for livelihood enhancement and economic empowerment.
Conducted under the aegis of IG, CRPF, Manipur and Nagaland Sector, the programme was attended by Sh Premjit Meitei, DIG Range Imphal, CRPF, as the chief guest. He delivered an inspiring address on CRPF's multifaceted role in maintaining security while promoting community welfare.
Other distinguished guests included Kulbati Devi, chairperson, Awang Sekmai Kanba Nupi Lup and Matarubam Ranjan Singh, president, Awang Sekmai Scheduled Caste Development Committee. In addition to distributing sewing machines, 152 Bn CRPF is organising a comprehensive 10-day tailoring training programme to ensure beneficiaries master the skills for sustainable income generation. Today’s programme also paid tribute to Sh M Prabo Singh 2I/C CRPF whose sad demise was remembered with respect. His brother Sh Rayan Singh also delivered an emotional tribute reflecting the spirit of sacrifice and contribution towards the Nation.
