WY tablets seized

IMPHAL, Mar 13: Assam Rifles intercepted an illegal consignment of WY tablets worth approximately Rs 1.23 crore in the international market at the Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) in New Shijang, Moreh on March 12.
During a routine check, noting the rider's suspicious behaviour, the troops stop-ped a Yamaha Cygnus bike, said an IGAR (S) press note.
A detailed inspection uncovered four packets of WY tablets, weighing approximately 4.4 kg, concealed within the vehicle.
The individual was apprehended and the seized contraband, along with the vehicle, were handed over to Moreh police.
