2 stopped from moving to Kpi

IMPHAL, Mar 20: Two persons belonging to the Meitei community who were on the way to Kangpokpi on a two-wheeler were detained by security forces at Kanglatongbi check-post this morning.
One Wahengbam Robinkumar (53) s/o (L) W Gulapi of Kumbi Kangjeibung Mapa and one Moirangthem Pomhenba (29) s/o M Ibobi of Kumbi Makha Leikai were heading toward Kangpokpi along Imphal-Dimapur highway when they were detained by security forces at Kanglatongbi for verification, sources said.
On spot verification, they revealed that they left Kumbi for Awang Sekmai at around 7 am on a Dio moped to purchase a rice mill from one Sanatomba Singh of Awang Sekmai.
On the way, they saw a board written as ‘Welcome to Kangpokpi’. They immediately took a U-turn before they were detained by security forces at Kanglatongbi.
Later they were picked up by a team of Sekmai police and taken to Sekmai police station, said the sources.
