NSCN (IM) takes note of malicious post

DIMAPUR, Sep 25: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) said today that it was shocked and appalled at the post of one WJ Longkumer in the group 'Unified Naga Land For Christ' that has "crossed the boundary of today’s civilized society as he used highly vulgar and profane language against Prof Rose Mary Dzuvichu for standing up for women’s democratic and human rights".
In a statement on Thursday, NSCN (IM) said such language went far beyond a mere personal insult. "It constitutes a direct attack on women’s dignity, modesty and character. Such derogatory slur and abusive language against women is not acceptable in today’s world, particularly in Naga society", the NSCN (IM) said.
The NSCN-IM then said that, what has caught its attention was, "when this person shamelessly tried to connect himself as a member of NSCN". The NSCN-IM then said this has compelled it (NSCN-IM) to clarify that he is in no way connected to NSCN in any manner whatsoever. "For his recklessness to bring NSCN in bad light, we shall consider it necessary to deal with him in a befitting manner", it asserted.
