18th MSL : Samir at the double as FC Lamjao trounce Pathap FC 5-1

IMPHAL, Jan 9 : FC Lamjao trounced Pathap FC by 5-1 as NEROCA FC and Utlou FC played out goalless draw in Group C matches of the ongoing 18th Manipur State League staged today at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
In the first match of the day, NEROCA FC who beat Elite FA by 1-0 margin in the previous match, failed to keep up their momentum and shared a point apiece with Utlou FC following a goalless draw.
Later in the day, FC Lamjao bounced back from their first game loss to crush Pathap FC by 5-1 goals.
All the six goals of the match came in the first half itself as Md Samir scored twice (4’, 45’), Naorem Raju (33’) and Th Kishan (37’) scored a goal apiece for FC Lamjao, and Kh Imtiyaz Khan of Pathap FC conceded an own goal in the 35th minute.
The lone goal on for Pathap FC was scored by Khulakpam Tarif Khan in the 19th minute.
