VDF men protest

IMPHAL, Jan 11: Raising several demands, VDF personnel of Imphal East staged a protest demonstration at OLA Club Ground, Kongba Shoudongpung today. The sit-in-protest staged under the aegis of the Imphal East District VDF Welfare Association raised three demands––implementation of section 18 of the Assam Police Act 1861, regularisation of VDF personnel and enhancement of VDF personnel’s honorarium. Imphal East District VDF Welfare Association vice-president Khunjamayum John Meitei said that the three demands adopted as a resolution at a central committee meeting of All Manipur VDF Welfare Association at Meira Club Ground, Bashikhong on December 23, 2025 must be fulfilled immediately.
