THOUBAL, Jan 17: Syed Society Manipur (SSM) Imphal organised the book release function of “Syed (Meraimayum) Sageigi Khundarol” today at the residence of Alhaj Syed Abdul Malik (Ethem) located at Yairipok Tulihal Awang Leikai.
The book release ceremony was attended by former chairperson of Minority Commission Manipur and senior consultant surgeon Alhaj Dr Syed Burhanuddin as the chief guest; Central Motor Transport Workshop (CMTW) MT Imphal Deputy SP Alhaj Syed Riyajuddin as the functional president and Additional Deputy Commissioner Chandel Syed Md Firoj Khan, MCS; Writer's Union Imphal former secretary, writer and columnist SM Sheikh and advocate Dr Syed Rabi Khan as the guests of honour.
At the event, Dr Syed Sabanam, PhD awardee from Manipur University in Mathematics, was honoured with simple gifts including a memento, shawl and a book.
Additionally, elders of Syed clan were presented with a shawl each.
