22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket REYS outclass TCMDC, enter final

IMPHAL, Jan 18: REYS Nagamapal defeated TCMDC Thongju by 9 runs to enter the final of the 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public ground, Imphal West today.
REYS will either face YCC Wangkhei or YWC Langthabal.
YCC Wangkhei and YWC Langthabal will face each other in the second semifinal on January 19.
In the first semifinal match, REYS won the toss and opted to bat first to amass 193 runs for 9 wickets in 30 overs.
Even though Sanjit knocked a massive 93 runs off 49 balls, TCMDC succumbed and ended scoring 184 runs for 9 wickets in 30 overs.
For REYS to reach 193 runs, Kenny contributed a massive 82 runs off 75 balls.
Jitender (36 runs off 23 balls), Bonny (29 off 24), Nongdren (16 off 14), Iboyaima (8 off 13), Jagjit (4 off 13), Superjit (2 off 5 balls), Dhawan (1 off 4) and Momo (1 off 2) contributed runs.
TCMDC's Brajakumar took 4 wickets, Somorjit dismissed 2 wickets, Bijesh and Sanjit scalped one wicket each.
In TCMDC's chase for the target, Sanjit knocked a massive 92 runs off 49 balls, and Bijesh scored 42 runs off 49 balls. Their impressive runs, however, couldn't help the team reach the target as wickets fell quickly.
REYS' Superjit took 4 wickets. Momo and Nongdren scalped two wickets each. Jitender dismissed one wicket.
