U-15 Women’s One Day Trophy Manipur go down by 8 wickets to Rajasthan

IMPHAL, Jan 2 : Manipur kickstarted their U-15 Women’s One Day Trophy 2025-26 Elite Group D campaign with an 8-wicket loss to Rajasthan at 22 Yards, Salt Lake, Kolkata today.
Put in to bat first, the State girls came under immense pressure from the beginning and lost wickets in regular intervals before they collapsed at 100 within 32.3 overs.
Toss winners Rajasthan then eased to the target in 14.2 overs at the cost of 2 wickets.
Viviene 21 off 32, Th Alice 21 off 31, Marvi 11 off 36, and Parjiya 11 off 12 were the only double digit run getters for Manipur in an innings that saw Rajasthan conceding 19 extras.
Parul Sharma 3/15 in 6 overs, Rochelle Yadav 3/21 in 6.3 overs, Mahira Khan 2/13 in 6 overs and Akshita 2/7 in 4 overs were among the wickets for Rajasthan.
In reply, Kavya Bishnoi scored a 46-ball 50 not out (8 fours) to steer Rajasthan to the target with Anjai Giri 2 not out off 4 balls.
Earlier, Alice Thokchom pined Sarika Soni lbw on 12 for the first wicket and to break the 38-run first wicket partnership between Kavya and Soni before Suchitra bowled out Rochelle Yadav on a 24-ball 28 for the second wicket when Rajasthan were 2-runs away from the victory.
Manipur will play Uttar Pradesh in the next match on January 4 at JU Second Campus, Salt Lake, Kolkata.
