National Reconsolidation Month UPF to launch motorcycle rally on Jan 6

IMPHAL, Jan 2 : The United Peoples' Front (UPF) is set to organize a motorcycle rally and a series of public meetings starting January 6, 2026, as part of the National Recon-solidation Month obser- vance, which began on December 9 last year.
Speaking to the media at Keishampat today, UPF president Nongthombam Rupachandra stated that the public meetings will be held at some locations covered by the rally.
The rally will be conducted under the theme "Eikhoi Amuk Hanna Khuntaklaroi".
Rupachandra explained that the rally, which will begin at Kangla on January 6, will cover Heingang and Sekmai, with a public meeting scheduled at Lamshang Keithel.
After the meeting, the rally will resume and pass through Tera Keithel, Malom, and Nambol, where another public meeting will be held, he said and added that a similar meeting will also be organized at Bishnupur.
Saying that the rally participants will spend the night at Moirang College, Rupa-chandra continued that the rally will head to Kakching the following day (January 7) before proceeding to Wabagai Keithel, where another meeting will be held before moving on to Thoubal.
Likewise, the rally will pass through several other areas such as Yairipok, Khurai etc, he said and added that the closing ceremony of the month-long programme will be observed at the Maharaja Gambhir Singh memorial complex on January 9. He appealed to the people to support the rally.
