Please refer to the new story under the headline “2025 is a landmark year for Manipur Cricket and the best is yet to come : Captain Bishworjit” published in the December 31 edition of this paper.
“Securing the Elite Division promotion...” as mentioned in the first paragraph and “...eventually earned promotion to Elite Division...” mentioned in the third paragraph should be referred to as “secure a shot at/a chance for Elite Division promotion” and not as published.
Winners between Manipur and Bihar (Plate group finalists) will be promoted to Elite Division next season as per the new promotion and relegation rule.
The inadvertent error is regretted.
