State Boxing team head to UP for 9th Elite Men and Women Nationals

IMPHAL, Jan 3 : The Manipur Amateur Boxing Association (MABA) has today flagged off a 20-member State team who will participate in the 9th Elite Men and Women National Boxing Championships beginning tomorrow at Gautama Buddha University, Greater Noida in UP.
The team comprising 8 male and 7 female boxers were led by Laishram Sarita as team manager alongside four others including Oinam Geeta as chief coach.
The players who are set to compete at the championships include Thokchom Tompok (50 kg), Shaikhom Victor (55 kg), Pheiroijam Meibrajit (60 kg), Moirangthem Chinglemba (65 kg), Ningthoujam Boynao (70 kg), Aribam Sakil (75 kg), Moirangthem Sanathoi (80 kg), Leimapokpam Rahul (85 kg), Yumnam Venika (48 kg), Thongram Lanchenbee (51 kg), Thokchom Supriya (54 kg), Thongram Kunjarani (57 kg), Sovi Jajo (60 kg), Huidrom Ambeshori (65 kg), and Ningthoujam Menaka (70 kg).
The championships will run till January 10.
