Veteran Cricket : NAPSA beat BSC-A by 2 runs to complete league stage sweep

IMPHAL, Jan 7 : NAPSA, Kha Imphal defeated BSC-A, Brahmapur Lalji Lakpa Leikai by 2 runs in a final over thriller to complete Group A league stage sweep in the ongoing 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament.
NAPSA, who opted to bat first, were bundled out for 147 runs as Robert (5/40) and Rohindro (3/9) led the BSC-A bowling attack but BSC-A ended up gathering 145 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 30 overs to go down by 2 runs.
Earlier in the first innings, Premananda 42 and Simon 24 made valuable contributions for NAPSA while Rohindro 32 and Rishi 16 led the scoring for BSC-A in an innings that saw Robert (3/24) and Ibobi (2/19) sharing 5 crucial wickets for NAPSA.
Robert of NAPSA, who added 5 runs and picked three wickets, was adjudged man of the match.
