Blast at fuel pump

Moirang, Jan 8 : A bomb went off at a petrol pump at Moirang Thana Leikai under  Moirang police station today around 8 pm.
The bomb was reportedly lobbed by two unknown miscreants who came in a two wheeler vehicle.
It is further reported that the miscreants came from Moirang Bazar side and headed southward.
The bomb which was lobbed from the main road exploded adjacent to the MPD machine of the oil pump, damaging some portions of the machine and the concrete foundation.
The proprietor of the station stated that he has not received any threats or monetary demands from any individual or organization prior to the incident.
Police have inspected the area and registered a case for further investigation.
