MAKA announces State team for KIO National Karate Do Championship 2026

IMPHAL, Jan 31: The Manipur Amateur Karate-Do Association (MAKA) has announced the names of athletes selected to represent Manipur at the upcoming KIO National Karate Do Championship 2026.
The 18 athletes who were shortlisted for the championship due to be held from February 26 to March 1, 2026 following their trial selection conducted at SAI STC Imphal are as follows.
U-21 : Akoijam Diamond Singh (individual Kata)  of ISKF, Keinoumayum Irfan (-55 kg kumite) of Seishinkai, Soibam Ronaldo (-60 kg kumite) of SAI STC, Akashkumar (-67 kg kumite) of ISKF, Thoudam Rikesh (-75 kg kumite) of ISKF, Takhellambam Pradip (-84 kg kumite) of ISKF, Kh Faeeza (-50 kg, kumite and kata) of Seishinkai, Ningthoujam Bishwodia (-55 kg kumite) of ISKF, Khangembam Madhushumita (-61 kg kumite) of SAI STC, Khomdram Promila (-68 kg) of Seishinkai.
Senior : Laishram Yaiphaba (individual kata) of ISKF, Keinoumayum Irfan (-55 kg kumite) of Seishinkai, Soibam Ronaldo (-60 kg kumite) of SAI STC, Ch Lanchenba (-67 kg kumite) of ISKF, Thoudam Rikesh (-75 kg kumite) of ISKF, Laitonjam Sanjeev (-84 kg kumite) of ISKF, Bloodlee Leimajam (+84 kg kumite) of NSKF,  Khomdram Promila (-68 kg kumite and kata) of Seishinkai, Konjengbam Dorita (-50 kg kumite) of Seishinkai, Salam Robita (-55 kg kumite) of ISKF, Khangembam Roshini (-61 kg kumite) of ISKF and Khumukcham Diana (+68 kg kumite) of ISKF.
