Former Chief Minister N Biren didn't attend the meeting.
Briefing media persons after the meeting, Lamlai AC MLA Khongbantabam Ibomcha said the prevailing situation, issues regarding resettlement of internally displaced persons and development projects that could be taken up to improve road connectivity before the rainy season were discussed.
He said the State Government is working to restore complete normalcy and peace to pave the way for return and resettlement of internally displaced persons.
Restoring peace and normalcy is the priority. Return and resettlement of IDPs and free movement on Highways will be possible only when peace is restored and there is complete normalcy, Ibomcha said.

On the issues facing the IDPs, Ibomcha said the Government will take steps to disburse pending benefits and aid to displaced families.
Ibomcha said there is already Rs 1 lakh aid per household announced for IDPs who have been allowed to return to their homes and villages. Many households have received an initial instalment of Rs 25,000. The pending amount will soon be disbursed, he said.
In addition to the Rs 1 lakh, each IDP household will be given Rs 20,000, and an additional Rs 2500 and mattresses, he said.
On the situation in Ukhrul's Litan, Ibomcha said the Government is taking appropriate measures and deployed security forces to control the situation.
Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho and several MLAs have visited Litan and held talks with leaders of the communities to calm the situation, he said.
The Government is actively engaging with CSOs to restore order and peace in the region, he added.
