Senapati CSOs, villages felicitate Dy CM

Senapati, Feb 11: A series of felicitation programmes were held across Senapati on Wednesday honouring newly sworn-in Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho. The events were organised by Senapati District frontal bodies including the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO), Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA) and Senapati District Women’s Association (SDWA), along with Northern Maram and Robvena Union in separate locations.
Welcoming the gathering at the district headquarters, SDSA President A Saloni Tony expressed joy that Senapati has, for the first time, seen its elected representative assume the post of Deputy Chief Minister.
NPO President Kuba Peter, in his address, said the felicitation was not merely a celebration of political success but an acknowledgment of Dikho’s dedication and service. He described him as a leader for all communities in the district — Mao, Maram, Poumai, Thangal, Zeliangrong, Nepali and Kuki — and thanked the NPF leadership for placing their faith in him.
In his speech, Dy. CM Losii Dikho expressed heartfelt gratitude to church leaders, community organisations and the people of the district for their constant support. Reflecting.
Speaking about the present situation, he said the Government is going through a critical phase but is committed to restoring peace.
"Peace is the only way and the solution. Without Peace, there is no scope and no future," he emphasized, urging the people to stand united and support the new government with maturity.
At Maram Center, the Northern Maram in the presence of Maram stakeholders, ex-MLA K Raina, Maram Union leaders, former ADC members and local organisations and village leaders held a felicitation programme for Losii Dikho. The Deputy CM acknowledged the Northern Maram leaders for such a gesture and appealed to remove any misunderstandings and promote peace amongst different communities. He was also felicitated in the evening at Asufii auditorium organised by the Robvena Union.
