2nd Dr Chourjit Polo Tournament AR Polo team overwhelm Techam Polo Club 9-2, reach semis

IMPHAL, Feb 11 : AR Polo Team made the easy work of Tekcham Polo Club by 9-2 goals to complete the semi-final line up of the ongoing 2nd Dr Chourjit Singh Inter District Polo Tournament-2026 hosted by the Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association at Imphal Pologround.
In the fourth quarterfinal match staged this afternoon AR Polo led by 4-1 goals till halfway mark before pumping in five more goals in the remaining two chukkers to set up a semi-final date with Chingkheihunba Polo Club, who outlasted Black Watch PC by 10-6 goals in first quarterfinal clash, tomorrow in the first ground.
S Bon Bon led the scoring for AR Polo Team adding one goal apiece in the first, third and final chukker while Kh Chandrakumar, Kh Shushilo and M Kuber added two goals apiece.
Chandrakumar and Bon Bon managed a goal apiece in the opening chukker to make it 2-0 before Chandrakumar added his second and Kh Shushilo struck his first in the second chukker that also saw M Abhigyan adding one for Tekcham Polo Club.
M Kuber, Kh Shushilo and Bon Bon then added a goal apiece in the third chukker to further extend the lead to 7-1 before Kuber and Bon Bon scored a goal each within 3 minutes of the final chukker. P Bikash scored the second and the final goal for Tekcham PC later in the 7th minute to make it 2-7 at the end.
The second semi-final match of the 10-team tournament will be played between X- Polo Club and Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club.
X-Polo Club reached the semi-finals with a 13-2 thrashing of Ibudhou Moirang Thangjing PC while Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club beat MPSC 5-4 in sudden death to make it to the semis.
