Guv, CM greet on Lui-Ngai-Ni

IMPHAL, Feb 14 : Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Chief Minister Y Khemchand have conveyed their greetings to the people of Manipur, especially the Naga commu-nity on the auspicious occa- sion of Lui-Ngai-Ni Festival, 2026.
The Governor, in his message, said that Lui-Ngai-Ni, the seed sowing festival celebrated by the Naga tribes of  Manipur, marking the beginning of the new agricultural season reflects the community's deep reverence for nature, tradition and cultural heritage.
The festival is an expression of thanksgiving for nature's bounty and a prayerful invocation for peace, prosperity and a fruitful year ahead, he said
Saying that this vibrant celebration has grown into a  symbol of unity and harmony, bringing together people from  diverse backgrounds, the Governor expressed hope that the festival will be celebrated in its true spirit, inspiring collective goodwill, unity and progress.
Extending his greetings, the Chief Minister said that the festival symbolises new beginnings, hope and the spirit of hard work as the  agricultural season begins.
Stating that the festival serves as a timely reminder of the essential values of harmony and mutual respect among all communities, he prayed for a peaceful and prosperous year ahead.
