IMPHAL, Feb 17: The All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has expressed concern over the incident at Wabagai Higher Secondary School, where a group of students tore their answer sheets on the first day of the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM).
Speaking to the media today, AMSU general secretary Salam Changkhonba urged the relevant authorities to look into the matter and ensure that the Class XII examinations proceed without further disturbance.
AMSU takes the incident at Wabagai Higher Secondary School seriously, he said.
Noting that similar incidents have occurred in previous Class XII examinations conducted by COHSEM, he added that various student organizations had met with COHSEM officials to discuss ways to ensure a fair examination process.
He urged COHSEM to implement adequate measures at examination centers where issues may arise.
He further urged COHSEM to ensure that examination invigilators, SO, and OC report any issue with the potential to disrupt the examination to higher authorities instantly.
