Thoubal Super Divn Football Yairipok FC beat JJFA 3-1, ASSA hold SLYO to 2-2 draw

IMPHAL, Feb 18 : Yairipok FC sealed their second straight win in the ongoing 5th L Memcha Devi Memorial Super Division Football League 2025 by defeating JJFA, Thoubal Haokha by 3-1 goals today at Mini Stadium Thoubal.
Yairipok FC, who defeated SOCDEC, Wangjing by 2-0 goals in the previous match, rode on late goals from Prasananda and Bobosana to seal the 3-1 win.
Vanus opened the scoring in the 18th minute to give Yairipok FC a slender 1-0 first half lead but Bikash equalised it for JJFA at the stroke of the hour mark.
Yairipok FC however retained the lead through Prasananda in the 75th minute before Bobosana hit the decisive goal in the 77th minute.
Later in the day, ASSA, Sangaiyumpham fought their way back to hold SLYO, Tekcham to a 2-2 draw.
Md Asif Khan put ASSA ahead in the 10th minute but SLYO restored parity through Chitaranjan in the 29th minute before his teammate William overturned the lead within two minutes.
ASSA however responded quickly and drew level through Md Sahir Ali in the 34th minute and kept the competition wide open.
The two sides had to share the spoils as neither team were able to add to their tally in the remainder of the game.
