36th SASA Sports Meet concludes

CHANDEL, Feb 19: The 36th Sulam Area Sporting Association (SASA) Sports Meet, which kicked off on February 12 at Challong village has ended. MLA SS Olish, SASA president Mhanthung, community leaders and members of the public attended the closing cum prize distribution ceremony on February 17.
Paraolon Youth Club defeated Kotal Khuntak YC to bag the men’s football title. Challong YC clinched the women’s title by defeating Paraolon YC.
In volleyball, Kotal Khunthak YC defeated Paraolon YC to be crowned men’s champion while Phunchung YC defeated Paraolon YC to take the women’s title. In the veterans' category, Paraolon Veterans defeated Challong Veterans to be crowned champions in football, while Larong Veterans defeated Challong Veterans to be crowned champions in volleyball. Vt Rocca of Libung YC and K Ravina of Bukthrol emerged winners in the Marathon. Morengam of Paraolon YC was adjudged Sulam Idol 2026. Ts Chetan of Larong YC and Meningush of Bukthrol were crowned Miss and Mr Sulam 2026 respectively. Rufina Dilbung of Challong YC and Avisha NgoruwIcan of Khongjon YC were adjudged winners in the Debate competition.
