Khemchand doffs hat, offers floral tribute

IMPHAL, Feb 21 : In a gesture of solidarity, Chief Minister Yumnam Khem-chand Singh travelled to Delhi today to pay his respects to Thanlon AC MLA Vungzagin Valte.
Upon arriving in the National Capital, the Chief Minister proceeded to Me-danta Hospital in Guru- gram. There, he stood in silence before the mortal remains of the late MLA, offering a floral tribute in a solemn expression of respect.
The Chief Minister extended his deepest condo- lences to the grieving family, spending around ten minutes with them, sharing their sorrow, and offering his unwavering support during this difficult time.
A prayer service was also held, seeking eternal peace for the departed soul.
The atmosphere was one of deep mourning as family members, dignitaries, and friends gathered to bid a final farewell.
A condolence meeting was also held, attended by the Chief Minister, MLA Khashim Vashum (Chingai AC), MLA Ngursanglur Sanate (Tipaimukh AC), the bereaved family, and prominent leaders of the Zomi community based in Delhi.
