BJYM, Mahila Morcha decry Congress protest

IMPHAL, Feb 21: With a call to uproot Congress party from across the country, BJP Mahila Morcha Manipur Pradesh and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Manipur Pradesh staged a protest demonstration in front of Thambal Shanglen here today.
Members of BJYM and Mahila Morcha shouted many slogans like “Uproot Congress party”, “Shameless party–– Congress party”, “Enemy of Youth–– Congress party”, “Topless party–– Congress party” etc.
The protest demonstration was organised denouncing the agitation carried out by Congress party on the closing day of India AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on February 20, 2026 where Congress workers shouted many slogans and removed shirts.
Speaking to media persons at Thambal Shanglen, BJP Mahila Morcha Manipur Pradesh president Lourembam Lotika Leima said that the India AI Impact Summit was participated by 108 countries and leaders of 20 countries were present at the event.
It was a matter of shame for the whole country that members of the Indian Youth Congress barged into the venue of the summit and protested by removing their shirts, she said.
She accused the Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi of sending the unruly Youth Congress members to disturb the summit.
Saying that AI is the future of mankind, BJYM Manipur Pradesh president Chandramani alleged that the Congress party stands against the interest of the country’s youth.
