Action sought against two private hospitals

IMPHAL, Feb 21: RTI activist Wahengbam Joykumar has sought action against two private hospitals- Kripadarshini Advanced Hospital and Research Institute (KAHRI) and Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (SHRI)- for reportedly failing to issue the due refund amounts to patients for medical treatment under AB-PMJAY and CMHT.
He made the appeal in a memorandum submitted to the Joint Secretary of Health and Family Welfare.
The two private hospitals treated a number of people under CMHT and AB-PMJAY charging medical fees, however, the two medical institutes have not issued the due refund amounts from 2022 to 2025, alleged the RTI activist.
