Arms, ammunition recovered

Security forces recovered a variety of arms and ammunition from Chingkhei Ching foothill area under Porompat police station in Imphal East yesterday. According to police bulletin, the recovered items include one .303 rifle with a magazine, one .22 rifle, one 9mm SMG carbine with a magazine, two hand grenades (no 36), one improvised bomb, one WP no 80 MK-1 grenade, fifty seven live rounds ammunition of different calibres, three lathode shells, two empty cases of SLR, four INSAS magazines, one SLR magazine, one pistol magazine, two tube launchers and two .303 charger clips.
