IMPHAL, Feb 23
The All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has urged the Government and its relevant authorities to take immediate steps to complete SAHC and NCAHP registration of students of the DM Community College.
None of the students who have recently passed out from the community college have been found registered with the National Commission for Allied Health Care Professions (NCAHP) or the State Allied and Healthcare Councils (SAHC), AMSU said in a statement.
Without SAHC registration and verification, the students will not be able to register with the NCAHP, and as such their educational qualification certificates may not be recognised anywhere, AMSU said.
For the students to work and practice in their respective fields, NCAHP registration is mandatory. If immediate steps are not taken to facilitate this registration, the careers of the students will be ruined, it said.
As SAHC verification is required for NCAHP registration, the State and its relevant departments must take immediate steps towards this without further delay, it said.
If no concrete steps are taken at the earliest to save the careers of the students, AMSU along with the people of the State may launch an intense agitation, it cautioned.
