Blast rocks shop

IMPHAL, Feb 23: A bomb suspected to be a hand grenade exploded in front of a betel leaf shop at Wangjing Bazar, Thoubal district at around 11.10 pm on Sunday.
The betel leaf shop is owned by one Ningthoujam Roben (41) s/o late Angang of Heirok Part III.
Even though the steel shutter of the shop was partially damaged, there is no report of any casualty.
Soon after the blast, a team from Thoubal police station rushed to the spot and carried out an inquest of the blast site and its adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Thoubal police station in connection with the incident.
