Scribe honoured

IMPHAL, Feb 24 : Special Correspondent of New Observer Post and Chief Bureau of Indian Observer Post, Brown Nongmaithem, has been honoured with the "Pillars of Hindustani Society" award for 2025-2026.
The award was presented by the Trans Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TACCI) and the Trans Asian Chamber & Indo-Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IMCCI), Mumbai.
The award ceremony took place during a joint anniversary celebration marking the 27th anniversary of TACCI and the 32nd anniversary of IMCCI, held at the Ball Room of the Royal Mumbai Yacht Club, Gateway of India.
Brown was one of 33 awardees recognized for their contributions in various fields, including arts, culture, and professionalism.
These awards were presented to individuals, both men and women, who have made remarkable, genuine contributions to Indian society.  Brown Nongmaithem has been reporting news for over 25 years, contributing to platforms such as The News File, The Sunday Indian (magazine)  News Observer Post, and Indian Observer Post, which is published in both Hindi and English.
His stories in The Sunday Indian were featured in fourteen Indian languages.
This is the first-ever award received by Brown in his career.
The award ceremony was attended by notable figures, including HE Mariano Agustin Caucino, Ambassador of Argentina, and Justice Shreehari Daawara (retired), among others.
