1st Invitation Veteran Volleyball Tournament underway

IMPHAL, Feb 25 : 1st Invitation Veteran Volleyball Tournament organised by the United Novel Team, Top Siphai got underway today under the supervision of the All Manipur Volleyball Association.
6 teams clubbed into two groups are taking part in the tournament.
In the tournament opener (Group B), Telecom VC beat Luxman VC by 3-2 sets. Telecom VC slumped in the first and the fourth sets as Luxman VC gave a tough competition but they emerged 15-9 winners in the fifth and the deciding set to open their winning account.
Later in the day, hosts UNT overwhelmed Tangkhul VC in straight sets (25-18, 25-15, 25-22) to open their Group A campaign on a winning note.
