IMPHAL, Feb 25: A combined team of security forces and Forest Department destroyed eight acres of poppy plantations at Sadim hill range under Senapati police station yesterday.
The operation was carried out in presence of the Executive Magistrate. Two makeshift huts, pipes, a spray pump and other equipment found at the site were destroyed during the operation, said police.
