AIP Volleyball Cluster : Manipur settle for men’s team event silver

IMPHAL, Feb 25 : Manipur settled for a silver medal in the men’s team event as the 74th All India Police Volleyball Cluster entered third day at Thiruvananthapuram.
Manipur suffered a 0-2 final loss to SSB today to bag the silver medal.
Manipur had defeated Karnataka and Kerala in the league round yesterday before defeating Chandigarh in the quarterfinals and Tamil Nadu in the semi-final.
Manipur also bagged a bronze medal yesterday in the women’s team event following a 1-2 semi-final loss to Assam.
Manipur in men’s regu event quarterfinals
Manipur produced a dominating performance to sweep the league round (Group B) in the men’s regu event and confirmed their quarterfinal ticket.
Manipur kickstarted their league campaign with a 15-13, 15-17, 15-10 win over BSF today before securing straight sets wins against Tamil Nadu (15-6, 15-2), Uttar Pradesh (15-4, 15-5) and Assam Rifles (15-6, 15-6).
