MUSU condemns

IMPHAL, Feb 26 : The Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU) has strongly condemned the February 24 incident wherein a hoax bomb was placed inside Manipur University campus.
Speaking to the media today at MUSU office, president Nongpoknganba Yambem said the hoax bomb, connected to allegations of malpractice in recruitment, was planted by unidentified persons in the campus where students reside.
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, he said such acts which create a fearful atmosphere in the campus inhabited by students, teachers and staff should not be repeated in the future.
Additionally, the allegations of misconduct should be discussed with the authorities concerned.
However, as MUSU takes these allegations seriously, he said the student body will also look into the matter.
Considering that the High Court has stayed the joining order of the recruitment after the result was announced, he declared that MUSU has also imposed a prohibition on the recruitment process until the investigation is complete.
