SENAPATI, Feb 25 : The Senapati District Truck Owners' Association (SDTOA) and the Senapati District Truck Drivers' Union (SDTDU) have requested the Director General of Police (DGP) to transfer S Lamkhosat Kipgen, the Officer-in-Charge of Tadubi police station, on grounds of his alleged involvement in illegal money collection from trucks passing through the PS.
In a joint letter to the DGP, it was informed that a formal complaint had been submitted to the Superintendent of Police, Senapati on September 27, 2025. The complaint has also been received by Police Headquarters.
SDTOA and SDTDU had appealed to the SP to take immediate and appropriate action, including the transfer of the Officer, within 10 days. But no action has been initiated till date. However, the illegal money collection was allegedly repeated on February 12, 2026, according to the letter.
It further said that such unlawful activity is causing significant hardship to truck drivers and vehicle owners, who are already facing numerous operational and financial challenges.
Allowing such practices to continue unchecked may damage the credibility of the Police Department and erode public trust in law enforcement agencies, they reasoned. The letter also cautioned that if the DGP fails to take necessary action, SDTOA and SDTDU may be compelled to resort to democratic forms of agitation in protest against such misconduct.
