Maj Dr Jyotin Memorial Football : Milan FA, MIUFC, Elite FA advance to quarterfinals

IMPHAL, Feb 26 : Milan FA, MIUFC and Elite FA are into the quarterfinals of the Maj (Dr), Jyotin Singh AC (P) Memorial Football Tournament being hosted by the Indian Army with the support of AMFA and DSA Bishnupur at DSA Bishnupur ground.
In the fourth match of the tournament, Milan FA reached the quarterfinals with a 1-0 win over KNK, Keibul today thanks to Taibangnganba’s 34th minute strike.
Later in the fifth match, MIUFC and Ishok FC played out a 1-1 draw in the regulation time before MIUFC emerged 5-4 winners in the penalty shoot-out.
Later in the third match, goals from Joychandra (32’) and Langamba (70’) and an own goal from Mangalsana (55’) of TRUGPU earned Elite FA a 3-2 win. N Heiton (79’) and Md Asaman (81’) scored a goal apiece late for TRUGPU.
