Free health camp held

IMPHAL, Feb 26 : Shija Eye Care Foundation and the All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) jointly organized a one-day free health camp at Manipur Press Club, Imphal today.
55 AMWJU members along with family attended the camp. According to Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI) PRO Khaidem Surjit, the health camp, which focused mainly on eye screenings, was conducted in recognition of the public service rendered by journalists. He assured that SHRI will continue to organise similar health camps in the future.
AMWJU president Asem Bhakta thanked the eye specialists and medicine doctors of Shija Hospital for the consultations and health assessments. Shija Eye Care Foundation Glaucoma Specialist Dr Dinakumar Yambem said eyeglasses were made available to the journalists at a discount, along with subsidized eye surgery for those that need it
