Tremor jolts NE

IMPHAL, Feb 26 : An earthquake measuring 5.5 magnitude struck the Indo Myanmar border area at 10.21 pm on February 25, sending tremors across North East India, including Mani-pur. NE is a seismically sensitive zone.
Jolts were also felt in Mizoram, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura.
As per the National Centre for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was located at latitude 22.99°N and longitude 94.66°E (Myanmar) with a depth of 120 km.
No damage to property or casualty have been reported in the State.
