Mukna Competition to be part of 14th Kanglei Mega Sports Festival

IMPHAL, Feb 26 : The All Manipur Mukna Association (AMMA) has informed that the “1st Kangleipak Mukna Championships-2026” will be held as a part of the Kangleipak Students’ Association’s 14th Kanglei Mega Sports Festival due to be held from March 2 to 7.
The event will be held at Mapal Kangjeibung for one weight category (-65 kg), AMMA said while adding that intending athletes to register their entry via District Mukna Association concerned.
Cash incentives and travel allowance will be provided for all participating athletes, it said while adding that the top two athletes will be feted with a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 with the semi-finalists will receive a cash prize of Rs 4,000 each.
The competition is conducted with the aim of reviving indigenous games of the State, it added.
