One expelled

Imphal, Feb 28 (DIPR) : A student was expelled today for cheating during the High-er Secondary Examination at Phungyar Higher Secondary School examination centre.
The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur, informed that, based on a report submitted by the Examination Officer-in-Charge of the Phungyar Examination Centre, a candidate bearing roll no 7870 of the Arts stream was caught red-handed with a smartphone during the Political Science examination.
As a result, the candidate has been expelled from the HSE 2026, and her candidature has been cancelled in accordance with Clause 11 (k) of the Conduct Rules, 2026 of Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur. Additionally, she has been debarred from appearing in the Higher Secondary Examination for the next two years, i.e., 2027 and 2028.
